On entering the house they saw the child....Matthew 2:11
On Epiphany, we honor the arrival of the Christ Child. In a miraculous act of Almighty God, the living God, baby Jesus is shown to the world as a defenseless infant.
In Genesis we learn that we are made in the likeness of God who wants us to imitate Him. After Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, they were afraid and hid themselves from God because the knew they had sinned. Don't we, to this day, do the same thing? However, today is a time when we can re-dedicate ourselves to our God by not hiding any longer.
What ways can we reveal our feeling for God? Below are just a few:
- Tell God your deepest feelings and intentions
- Speak to God as you would your best friend
- Pray to God by talking to him
From the beginning we know that God revealed His Self to us in the form of the Christ Child. Today could be our own Epiphany, if we would reveal ourselves to Him by offering Our Lord our promises as gifts to Him. I have the suspicion that Our Lord would be very pleased if you offered Him your heart.
